MANUU Research Scholar Bags Top Honour at Indo-Bhutan Social Science Conference 2025
Hydrabad/Bhutan - Salman Khan(Sam khan), Research Scholar from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), has been awarded the Best Paper Presentation Award at the prestigious Indo - bhutan Social Science Conference (IBSSC 2025). The event was held from 3rd to 6th September at the Paro College of Education, a constituent college of the Royal University of Bhutan.
Conference Overview
Organized by the Department of Business Administration, Assam University, Silchar, in academic collaboration with Paro College of Education and in association with the Silchar Management Association, the hybrid-mode conference brought together scholars, policy-makers, students and practitioners from across India, Bhutan, Switzerland, Nepal & Bangladesh
Under the thematic umbrella of “Envisioning the Future: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Resilience, Inclusion, Sustainability, Social Transformation, and Saving the Planet”, the conference fostered robust cross-disciplinary dialogue. Its objectives included probing how social sciences can steer policy reforms, advocate inclusive governance and address contemporary challenges such as climate change, digital ethics, inclusive education and equitable development
Award-Winning Research
Salman Khan’s paper, titled “Enhancing Features of Journalism through Artificial Intelligence: Production, Storytelling and Ethics”, was celebrated as the best in its track. The study was lauded for its forward-thinking integration of technology with ethical principles in the realm of journalism.
Expressing gratitude, Salman dedicated his achievement to his guide Dr. Meeraj Ahmed Mubarki and Prof. Mohammad Fariyad (Head of Department), attributing his success to their mentorship. He poignantly described their support as the “path and ladder that helped me mount my path of research and discovery”
